For Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the Internet Law and Policy Foundry (ILPF) and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) Privacy, Policy & Law Affiliate are pleased to present CYBER CON, a virtual cybersecurity convention intended for all communities of interest. Whether you work in cybersecurity or technology circles, or simply have an interest in learning more about the latest developments in cyber policy, CYBER CON is an inclusive event that will cover a variety of topics.
CYBER CON will take place on Friday, October 28 starting at 11AM ET / 8AM PT and run until 2:30PM ET / 11:30AM PT. The schedule is as follows:
11-11:30AM ET / 8-8:30AM PT: “Updates on the Cybersecurity Threat Landscape” featuring an expert panel to be announced (30 min)
11:40-12:30AM ET / 8:40-9:30AM PT: A fireside chat with Josephine Wolff (Associate Professor of Cybersecurity Policy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University) on her latest book “Cyberinsurance Policy: Rethinking Risk in an Age of Ransomware, Computer Fraud, Data Breaches, and Cyberattacks” (50 min)
11:40-1:30 ET / 9:40-10:30AM PT: A workshop with Kassi Burns (senior E-Discovery attorney with King & Spalding) on “Cyber Hygiene for the Legal Profession” (50 min)
1:40-2:30 ET / 10:40 – 11:30AM PT: Content and speakers to be announced (50 min)
