The Foundry Launches With OSTP/USDS/Executive Office of the President Mentorship Event

“I can’t tell you how much it warms my cold heart to see all you weirdos excited about technology and the Internet,” U.S. Digital service founding member Erie Meyer beamed at a packed room of early career lawyers, engineers, and lawmakers.

The first ever Internet Law & Policy Foundry Meet and Mentor (#FoundryMentor) event at the Microsoft Innovation and Policy Center featured diverse perspectives from women in the Executive Office of the President including the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the U.S. Digital Services.

Foundry Inaugural Class Member Alla Goldman moderated the conversation between panelists Nancy Weiss, Senior Advisor to the Chief Technology Officer in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Erie Meyer, founding member of the U.S. Digital Service, and Lisa Gelobter, Chief Digital Service Officer, Department of Education, Executive Office of the President in a dynamic conversation about using tech to deliver better government services, driving innovation in Washington, and crazy stories of being recruited by the President and stalking Senators to get a job.
