Job Title: Policy Intern (Remote, Hourly Paid)
Reports to: Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Director
Overall responsibility: To assist the Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Director with policy matters and projects affecting the Internet’s infrastructure. Responsibilities include attending virtually i2Coalition’s internal policy working groups meetings, producing high-level meeting minutes, assisting with networking events, and drafting related policy documents as needed. The role includes the opportunity to work with i2Coalition’s senior tech policy team and its government affairs partners in Washington and Brussels.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Attend monthly Tech Policy Briefing Meetings and monthly DNS Issues Working Group Meetings, take high-level meeting notes, and transcribe and produce accurate minutes of discussions and decisions within 48 hours
- Assist the Chief of Staff in daily administrative tasks as needed
Occasionally assist in other administrative tasks as needed - Assist Senior Policy Director with producing drafts of public comments and other policy documents as needed
- Assist with Internet education projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, current graduate school student with interest in federal legislation and regulatory policy; experience or interest in Internet public policy preferred
- Exceptional writing and research skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize with strong organizational skills
