Hilary Richardson is an Intellectual Property Risk Associate at Facebook. Her focus is on developing policies to scale the operational challenges of managing intellectual property-related intermediary liability on Facebook’s platforms. Hilary is licensed to practice law in California. Hilary is passionate about trademark law and copyright, as well as privacy, and holds an IAPP CIPP/US certification for U.S. privacy law. After graduating from Berkeley Law in 2013, Hilary worked as a legal fellow at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the the Wikimedia Foundation on a wide variety of privacy and intellectual property issues. Prior to joining Facebook, Hilary worked on the Intellectual Property and Identity team at Twitter.
In her free time, Hilary is most excited to be hiking, following politics or podcasts, watching comedy, drinking coffee, exploring cities, and taking up new hobbies.
