Jacob (Jake) Odame-Baiden is a lawyer based in Ghana. He has vast experience in technology project management, legal advisory and regulatory and compliance for the technology consulting and telecommunication sectors in Ghana and other African countries.
He curates issues related to technology access for Diplo Foundation’s Digital Watch observatory. Jacob is a Steering Committee member of the Internet Rights and Principles Coalition at the UN Internet Governance Forum. He is also a Co-Founder of EGIGFA — an organization focused on capacity building in the area of Internet Governance for the African region.
He holds a Master’s in Communication Technology Policy from Ohio University; an LLB Law degree from the University of London; and a BA in Computer Science and Economics (double major) from the University of Ghana.
His areas of interest include technology access and legal tech issues bordering on privacy, artificial intelligence and human rights.
