Kira Hessekiel is a 2021 J.D. candidate at Harvard Law School. At Harvard, she is currently Communications Editor for the Journal on Law and Technology and a Teaching Fellow for Professors Michael Sandel and Douglas Melton’s “Tech Ethics” course.
She spent the summer of 2019 interning for the New York State Office of the Attorney General in the Bureau of Internet & Technology.
Prior to law school, Kira was a Senior Project Coordinator at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, where she worked a variety of issues, including government use of algorithmic technologies and broadband internet access. She remains deeply interested in privacy and the legal and ethical questions surrounding the development of AI technologies in both private industry and government.
