Matt Furlow is currently Policy Director at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC). He leads the portfolio on emerging technology issues, focusing on innovative transportation technologies, semiconductors and communications and Internet policy.
Furlow previously initiated and led the Chamber’s work on artificial intelligence and facial recognition. Furlow joined the Chamber in 2018 after four years in the House of Representatives focusing on transportation and defense policy issues.
Furlow grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, and graduated from Bates College where he received a B.A. in politics. He is currently pursuing a J.D. at The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law and expects to graduate in May 2023.
Outside of work and school, Furlow enjoys concerts, wineries/breweries, skiing, live sports and travel.
