Nafia Chowdhury is a recent Stanford graduate from Bangladesh. She completed her B.A. in Economics and M.A. in cybersecurity policy. Nafia first fell in love with cybersecurity from her computer science course in cryptography two years ago.
Since then she has attacked challenges in cybersecurity through the lens of both computer science and public policy. She has built a password manager, trained in hacking and conducted academic research on hackback, going dark, and spyware.
A data nerd, Nafia has previously used data science to build and scale the online presence of a series B fintech startup ground up. Most recently she has applied her data science knowledge in product development and implemented user and UX design research methodologies for a fintech startup in India.
Nafia is currently in the executive team of Women in Cybersecurity (WiCys) Silicon Valley. In her spare time, you can also find her volunteering for Advancing for Women in Product (Awip) Silicon Valley, in a boxing ring or waltzing on the dance floor.
