Pierce Stanley is a third-year law student at the University of San Francisco, where he is Editor-in-Chief of the USF Intellectual Property and Technology Law Journal. He is currently a privacy extern at Verily and previously served as a judicial extern for Judge Andrew Cheng of the complex litigation department of the Superior Court of San Francisco.
In law school, Pierce worked for the Federal Trade Commission, the ACLU of Northern California’s technology and civil liberties team and the Digital Justice Initiative of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights.
Before law school, Pierce worked as a public interest fellow for Demand Progress in Washington, D.C., where he advocated for net neutrality. He also worked as a data analyst at the Council on Foreign Relations and the Brookings Institution.
