Tyler is an attorney in Portland, OR, working in trademark, copyright, and contract law, false advertising, and unfair competition. He also works as a Legal Engineer for Contract Standards, a contracts analytics and assembly company, where he focuses on M&A agreements, and licensing agreements, and other corporate and commercial agreements.He’s especially interested in contract law reform, intellectual property exhaustion, the ‘right to repair,’ and other ownership issues in our increasingly digitized and ‘smart’ era.
During law school at the University of Oregon, Tyler served as managing editor of the Oregon Law Review, and published an article on E.U. competition law and international soccer governance.
Previously, he clerked in the Trademark Office at the USPTO, for a boutique trademark law firm in Portland, and worked for a culinary business incubator in his hometown of Durham, NC.
